M2 Ethernet Card by MicroSys

High-Speed Expansion for Rugged Environments
The MicroSys M.2 Ethernet-Card is a compact expansion module designed to add four 100BASE-T1 ports to embedded systems via a standard M.2 2280 PCIe interface. Engineered for reliability in harsh conditions, both the M.2 module and the accompanying connector boards support an extended temperature range from -40°C to +105°C.

The unique two-board architecture—connected via a supplied flat ribbon cable—decouples the M.2 slot from the physical ports, allowing for flexible mounting and superior signal integrity in tight enclosures.

Modular Connectivity Options
Select the interface board that matches your application requirements. The kit includes a high-quality flat ribbon cable to connect the M.2 module to your chosen interface:

  • Industrial Variant: Equipped with HARTING T1 Industrial Jack AH IP20 connectors. This robust interface features 360° shielding and is designed according to IEC 63171-6, making it the perfect choice for Single Pair Ethernet (SPE) in factory automation and industrial IoT.

  • Automotive Variant: Equipped with TE Connectivity MATEnet headers (P/N 2305987-2). This specialized automotive connector ensures seamless compatibility with standard vehicle harnesses and MATEnet data cables, ideal for ECU prototyping, testing, and in-vehicle logging.

  • Our standard product versions offer what we consider to be the optimum configuration in terms of performance, price, usage and TDP. The product features lists specify the maximum range of functions per interface. However, not all interfaces or functions are always available in parallel. Flexible SERDES multiplexing is one of the reasons for this. In addition, we provide multiple memory expansion options and are also happy to accommodate specific customer wishes. So do not hesitate to contact us directly to discuss your desired configuration.
